The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the AFCAT 2 Notification 2025 for the recruitment of 284 commissioned officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for AFCAT 2 2025 from 2 June to 1 July 2025. (All India Can Apply)

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • Flying Branch:

    • Graduation (any stream) with Physics & Math at 10+2 level + minimum 50% marks

    • OR BE/B.Tech degree with minimum 60% marks

  • Ground Duty (Technical):

    • BE/B.Tech in relevant engineering streams

  • Ground Duty (Non-Technical):

    • Graduation in any discipline with minimum 60% marks

Age Limit (as on 01 July 2026):

Branch Age Limit
Flying Branch 20 to 24 years
Ground Duty 20 to 26 years

Age relaxation as per IAF rules for eligible categories

Salary :

Pay Scale (7th CPC):

Branch Pay Band MSP
Flying/Ground Rs. 56100 – 177500 Rs. 15,500

Flight Cadets shall receive a fixed stipend of Rs 56,100/- per month during one  year of training.

Selection Process

  1. AFCAT Written Exam

  2. Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) Interview

  3. Medical Examination

  4. Final Merit List

NCC Special Entry & Meteorology candidates are exempted from AFCAT written exam

  5. Pay application fee: ₹550 (No fee for NCC Special Entry)
