Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• Must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) from a recognized board.

• Must possess a valid LMV or HMV Driving License issued before the notification date.

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2025):

• General (Male): 18 to 25 years

• BC/EBC (Male): 18 to 27 years

• SC/ST (Male & Female): 18 to 30 years

• General/BC/EBC (Female): 18 to 28 years

Physical Standards

For Male Candidates:

• Height: 165 cm (Gen/BC), 160 cm (SC/ST)

• Chest: 81 – 86 cm (expansion mandatory)

• Running: 1.6 km in 6 minutes 30 seconds

For Female Candidates:

• Height: 155 cm (Gen/BC), 148 cm (SC/ST)

• Running: 1 km in 6 minutes

Selection Process for CSBC Bihar Driver Constable Recruitment 2025 

. Written Examination

• Type: Objective (Multiple Choice Questions)

• Total Marks: 100

• Subjects Covered:

  • Hindi

  • English

  • Mathematics

  • General Science

  • Social Studies (History, Geography, Civics)

  • General Knowledge & Current Affairs

• Qualifying Nature:
  This exam is only qualifying in nature. Candidates must score at least 30% to move on to the next stage. Marks obtained here will not be considered for final merit.

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

This stage tests the physical fitness of the candidates. It consists of the following:

For Male Candidates:

• Running: 1.6 km in 6 minutes 30 seconds

• High Jump: Minimum 3 feet 6 inches

• Shot Put: 16-pound shot put to be thrown at least 16 feet

For Female Candidates:

• Running: 1 km in 6 minutes

• High Jump: Minimum 2 feet 6 inches

• Shot Put: 12-pound shot put to be thrown at least 10 feet

Marks will be allotted based on performance in these activities. Higher performance earns more marks.

3. Driving Test

Only candidates who qualify the PET will appear for the Driving Skill Test. This stage includes:

• Start and stop test

• Reverse driving

• ‘8’ shaped track test

• Driving in narrow lanes and turns

Candidates must have a valid LMV or HMV license. The driving test is conducted to assess real-time vehicle handling and control.

4. Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification where they must present:

• 10th/12th Marksheet

• Valid Driving License

• Caste/Category Certificate (if applicable)

• Domicile Certificate

• Identity Proof (Aadhar, PAN, etc.)

5. Medical Examination

Finally, candidates will undergo a medical test to ensure they meet health and vision standards. This includes:

• Eye test (night & color vision)

• Hearing ability

• General physical health

• Any physical disabilities

Only medically fit candidates will be considered for final appointment.

Final Merit List

The final selection will be based on:

• Marks obtained in the PET and Driving Test only.

• Written exam is only qualifying.

• Candidates who clear all stages will be appointed as Driver Constables in Bihar Police.
